The Voorburgse Rugby Club (VRC) is a youth club with around 250 members. The club was founded in 2015. As a starting club, we played on various fields and pitches in Voorburg and Leidschendam during our first years. This came to an end in 2018 when we got the opportunity to temporarily set up a rugby field and clubhouse at the Star in Leidschendam.
In the 2023 – 2024 season, we started training on our new field at Groene Zoom in The Hague. This fulfilled our long-held wish for a permanent location with a beautiful new field, close to other sports clubs. The new clubhouse isn’t ready yet, but we’re working hard to make it happen soon.
Rugby is a true team sport, with a strong focus on rugby values. Respect, camaraderie, discipline, and passion & fun are the principles behind everything we do. Children learn these rugby values from a young age, and all parents and supervisors are expected to respect them as well.
